Chardonnay for White Label was selected from the Piccadilly Valley in South Australias preeminent cool-climate region, the Adelaide Hills. As one of Wolf Blass' highest altitude, coolest vineyard regions, the Piccadilly Valley, on the eastern slopes of Mount Lofty, has proven its ability to produce Chardonnay that can take on the world. Fashioning wines with elegant fruit characters, fine acidity and depth of flavour that are the recognised characteristics of great Chardonnay, the Piccadilly Valley offers the ideal conditions to grow vines that will produce balanced crops, good berry size and refined flavours. Cool temperatures and long bursts of gentle sunshine allow for long, slow ripening and full flavour development while retaining high natural acidity.
