Tolpuddle Mixed Six

LIMITED STOCK - Back by Popular Demand

Tolpuddle Vineyard was established in 1988 and it took its name from the Tolpuddle Martyrs: English convicts transported to Tasmania for forming an agricultural union. The leader of the Martyrs, George Loveless, served some of his sentence working on a property near Richmond, part of which is now Tolpuddle Vineyard.

Tolpuddle is a winery with a super fine pedigree: Michael Hill Smith MW and Martin Shaw (Shaw & Smith) are joint managing directors, with Matthew Hill Smith the third shareholder. Adam Wadewitz, is senior winemaker; and Ray Guerin, a cool climate specialist, is group viticulturist.

In 2006 won the inaugural Tasmanian Vineyard of the Year Award.

Mixed case of six wines includes:

- 3 x Tolpuddle Vinyard Chardonnay 2013

“This label is certain to grace some of the greatest Aus pinots and chardonnays in the years ahead, the vineyard (planted in '88) a Tasmanian jewel. The most remarkable part of this wine is its combination of finesse, length and intensity of varietal fruit flavour, in turn based on the laser etching of Tasmanian acidity.” - Rated 97 points, James Halliday

- 3 x Tolpuddle Vinyard Pinot Noir 2013

“Bright, clear crimson; the bouquet is at once powerful, yet eloquently varietal in precisely the same fashion as the palate; black cherry and plum lead the way, red fruits bringing up the rear; it has exceptional intensity and drive, with fine tannins reminiscent of those of top flight Burgundy” - Rated 97 points, James Halliday
