With a proud and priceless legacy dating back to 1851, Seppeltsfield is one of Australia’s most iconic wine estates. Seppeltsfield was established in the Barossa Valley by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt just 15 years after the European settlement of South Australia. One of the largest and most modern  wineries in the world of its time, Seppeltsfield went on to thrive as an artisan community throughout the early 1900’s.

The Seppeltsfield’s DP57 Grand Tokay is crafted from the Muscadelle varietal, sourced exclusively from the Rutherglen region in North-East Victoria. The Muscadelle that forms the DP57 Grand Tokay is left on the vine for an extended ripening period. The resultant fruit is high in natural sugar levels which is then briefly fermented and fortified, to produce an indulgent and seamless wine. Seppeltsfield’s DP57 Grand Tokay is a blend of vintage years, all of which have been matured in individual components.

As vintage components of Tokay are all matured separately in old oak casks, the DP57 final bled is the result of a rigorous selection program. Only the best components from standout years are introduced into the blend, with a minimum average age of 10 years. Winemaker: Fiona Donald - 2012 Barossa Winemaker of the Year.
