A Taste of Qantas epiQure Mt Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz 2008

Winner of the Best Business Red wine in the 2011 Cellars in the Sky Awards, this Shiraz is entirely Estate grown on the Eastern granite slopes of Mount Langi Ghiran. The wine includes significant whole bunch maceration component, which builds perfume and delicate aromatics which makes the 2008 Cliff Edge Shiraz a true representation of this unique Shiraz growing environment. This wine is a perfect match with Neil Perry's Grilled Aged Rib-Eye with Tomato, Onion and Chipotle salsa.

I recently had this wine again, and the quality was fantastic, soft fruit flavours of rich blackberry a little spice from the oak that holds the wine together perfectly. Real savoury full bodied wine with delicious length. Will age for another 5 to 6 years and will continue to soften.

This is one of the nicest reds around and at an amazing price. It's as good as $40 wines and has become our favourite.

This is drinking so well, the wine was winner of the best business class red wine at the cellars in the sky awards and I can see why it knocked off some other great wines from around the world. Full of fruit rich ripe flavours, long length well balanced, just a classy wine at this price, members at the recent good food and wine shows tasted this and agreed it is a stunning wine.
